Local Facilities

Brora is the most Northerly settlement in Sutherland to have all you need to support a self catering Highland based holiday with competitive Supermarkets, Hotels, Bars and even Petrol garages for example. To get these facilities any further North you need to go to the more industrial towns of Wick and Thurso in Caithness. Interesting and exciting though these historic local Northern towns are, you’d certainly miss the Scottish village feel and the appeal of sitting quietly, overseeing the harbour traffic and bird and wildlife in almost unbelievable peace.  Brora provides a fantastic base and Estuary View self catering is the best Brora cottage to wind down after a hard day’s activity, or a easy day of doing not very much except acquainting yourself with the Highlands!
